Geoff Gates is a multi-instrumentalist who has played nearly every format of music, starting at a very young age.
He is adept at guitar, sax, and keys. You can catch him playing up and down the South Carolina Grand Strand performing as a solo guitar and sax player using live looping to cover a wide range of genres.
He also occassionally plays with several bands up and down the East Coast.
A lot of musicians take requests, and I expect they'll know the usuals. As a family of fisherman heritage from NY I tried to stump Geoff with "Downeaster Alexa" by Billy Joel. This guy covered it cold, then went into some crazy live looping sax solo at the end!

This guy knows how to tap into the crowd, get them going and find the common ground that will have everyone into it. His energy is contagious. He shares stories, tries to relate with the audience, and get on their level. I'm a band director, and also fellow saxophonist and can't begin to tell you how much I enjoyed his show last week!

Geoff came to our beach house, played a private party and rocked it! I didn't know we could hire ONE DUDE, and have pretty much a dance party all in one, he must have taken 20 requests, and I'm pretty sure 10 of them he never played before. He's a super cool guy too. We already booked him for our next visit!

Geoff not only performed a great solo acoustic set, but he ended up being an unexpected emcee for our private event! Highly recommend! He can cover such a range of genres and styles too!

I had no idea I was going to see a "one man band". Geoff covered a range of rock, country and played sax too!
-Paul H.
Great music! But I loved how interactive he was with the audience - great time!

This dude can sing, but also plays the sax and guitar. He can go from a quiet relaxing afternoon to a dance party.

I generally don't expect a dude with a guitar to be covering everything from George Strait to Camila Cabello. I think he played like 3 requests he probalby never played before. Amazing talent.
